Four former Vols are in action on the professional circuit again this week with Futures events in Canada and California.
In Canada: The Canadian tour continues for Rhyne Williams and Tennys Sandgren, who are coming off tournament-winning performances last week at the Tevlin Family Futures in Toronto. This week, they are competing in the National Bank Futures in Markham, Canada.
In doubles, Williams and Sandgren teamed up to take the title at the Tevlin Family Futures, but their success didn't end there. Williams reached his fourth career professional singles final and Sandgren made it to the quarterfinals.
Sandgren, now in his third tournament in Canada, reached the semifinals the week before in another tournament in Toronto.
In California: John-Patrick Smith and Ben Rogers are back in action this week after traveling halfway across the country from Tusla, Okla., to Costa Mesa, Calif.
Smith, fresh off his first Challenger-level match win, qualified for the singles main draw at the Costa Mesa Tennis Classic. He and Ben Rogers are the fifth-highest ranked doubles pairing in the draw.
