Vols In NFL Update (9/27)

In a field goal fest, the Dallas Cowboys downed the Washington Redskins, 18-16. Former Vol star Jason Witten led Dallas with six catches for 60 yards. Donte' Stallworth was in active for Washington.

Here's a look at some former Vols among the leaders in the NFL in statistical categories


 - Witten leads all tight ends in the NFL with 19 catches. His 272 yards is second to New England's Rob Gronkowski. 


 - Among punters Britton Colquitt of the Broncos is fourth in punting net average (43.7). He is also seventh in net yardage (657), followed by his brother Dustin Colquitt of the Chiefs, who is just one yard behind (656). Britton is also fourth in punts into the 20-yard line with six. 


- Oakland's Denarius Moore is third among rookie receivers with nine catches for 180 yards, which also ranks third. 


- With the Saints, Robert Meachem is 22nd in receptions among receivers and 33rd overall in catches with 14 including three touchdowns. 


- New England's Jerod Mayo is 22nd in total tackles by linebackers with 21.
