Gibson & Grieve Pan Am Softball Update 10-20

Tennessee softball's Lauren Gibson and Kelly Grieve continued play in the softball competition at the Pan Am Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, helping Team USA to victories over Cuba (3-0) and Puerto Rico (4-1).  The U.S. remains the only unbeaten team in the event at a perfect 5-0, hitting .369 overall and having outscored the opposition, 34-1.

Gibson started at second base for the Americans, going 1-for-2 at the plate with a third-inning triple and an RBI.  Grieve did not see action against the Cuban team.

vs. Puerto Rico
Grieve started in the designated player role, batting second in the line-up, and also played left field.  The Asheville, N.C., native was 2-for-4 at the plate with a fourth-inning RBI.  Gibson entered the contest as a pinch runner and also played second base, but did not bat against Puerto Rico.
