Vols In NFL Update (10/24)

It was a huge day for Arian Foster, as he became the first Texan to have 100 yards rushing and 100 yards receiving in a game as he scored three touchdowns. Foster notched his 11th career 100-yard rushing game and second this season. 

- The Texans romped over the Titans, 41-7 as Arian Foster gained 115 rushing yards on 25 carries including two TDs and had 119 receiving yards on five catches including a 78-yard reception. Watch Texans vs. Titans highlights including all of Foster's TDs. Jason Allen played as a back-up in the secondary, but had no tackles. 



Dallas pounded the Rams, 34-7 as Jason Witten scored another touchdown as part of five catches for 35 yards. Watch Wittten's Touchdown.


Green Bay edged Minnesota, 33-27 as two former Vols linemen started on opposite sidelines. Scott Wells started at center for the Packers while Anthony Herrera started at right guard for the Vikings. Chad Clifton missed his second game for the Packers with a partial tear of his hamstring. "It was a partial tear but not completely off the bone, so no surgery's required," Clifton told the Green Bay Gazette. "With hamstrings, you've just got to keep getting the treatment and keep doing the rehab."

Chicago beat Tampa Bay, 24-18 as rookie tight end Luke Stocker made two catches for 14 yards with the Bucs in a game played in England. 

Cleveland nipped Seattle, 6-3 as Montario Hardesty had a career-high 95 rushing yards to help the Browns reach .500 after six games for the first time since 1999. He also had 27 receiving yards on two catches.

Denver rallied to beat Miami, 18-15 in OT in a game with five former Vols. Robert Ayers had two tackles before suffering a knee injury for the Broncos. He will be evaluated on Monday. Punter Britton Colquitt had nine kicks for 48.3 average with a long of 66. For the Dolphins, on defense, Kevin Burnett had six tackles, Tony McDaniel had three stops and Marvin Mitchell also played. 

Kansas City blanked Oakland, 28-0 as punter Dustin Colquitt had seven punts for a 52.6 average with three inside the 20-yard line and a long of 65. With the Raiders, Denarius Moore had a catch for four yards and four punt returns for nine yards. John Henderson made a tackle for Oakland. 

Pittsburgh beat Arizona, 32-20 as Ramon Foster started at right guard for the Steelers. On defense, Dan Williams started at nose tackle for the Cardinals and made two tackles. 

Carolina handled Washington, 33-20 as two Vols were inactive, both Donte' Stallworth (Redskins) and Omar Gaither (Panthers) didn't play. Gaither is working his way back from a sprained knee. 

In the Sunday night game, New Orleans routed, 62-7 as several former Vols joined in the action for the Saints. Receiver Robert Meachem had two catches for 27 yards. Jabari Greer had two tackles and a pass defended. Aubrayo Franklin played but had no stats. Turk McBride was inactive after injuring his right shoulder last week.
