Prep Football Award To Honor Harry Galbreath

Former Vols offensive lineman, the late Harry Galbreath will be honored with an award in his name.

Galbreath, who died unexpectedly on July 27, 2010, in Mobile, Ala., always demonstrated the character of someone whose priorities were his family, community and charity work.

Galbreath's football reputation and charity work will forever be linked to Clarksville, and a special award in his honor -- the Harry Galbreath Lineman of the Year Award -- will be bestowed to an All-Area high school football performer on Jan. 10 as part of a community effort involving The Leaf-Chronicle, Clarksville Rotary Club, Clarksville Downtown Kiwanis Club and Charter Communications.
