This year's Tennessee Baseball Hall of Fame inductee and current New York Mets knuckleballer R.A. Dickey continues his trek up Mount Kilimanjaro. He checked in once again in his blog for the New York Times to describe his ascent to Barranco Camp after 22 miles and 14,380 feet of hiking.

Thankfully, my journey thus far has not solely been glimpses of my own mortality, but also of great splendor and beauty. Never have these words been more useful to me than in my attempt to describe the sights of the past two days.
