The Tennessee Lady Vol tennis team is ranked third in average attendance nationally and first in the SEC, the ITA announced Friday.
The governing body released attendance figures for the first time this season, tracking all matches prior to March.
With 210 fans per contest, Tennessee has its highest March rating since the ITA began releasing the figures in 2008. The next closes SEC team on the list is Alabama at eighth with 152 fans per match.
The numbers don't include Tennessee's season-high of 435 fans that showed up when the Lady Vols took on Florida last Friday (March 2).
Through February, UT's attendance for its home date against Notre Dame (338) ranked fourth nationally among single matches.
Tennessee finished seventh last season nationally with an average attendance of 140.
