Sophomore Mikelis Libietis and partner Oskars Vaskis knocked off the No. 1 seeds Thursday to advance to the finals of this week's ITF Futures in Jurmala, Latvia.
Libietis and Vaskis overcame a slow start to beat Andis Juska and Deniss Pavlovs 2-6, 6-4, [10-6] in the semifinals.
The Latvian duo, winners this week against the Nos. 1 and 3 seeds already, face the second seeds in the title match: Giammarco Micolani and Giorgio Portaluri of Italy.
Libietis is playing in his first Futures final since 2010. He has one ITF Futures doubles title in his career and has previously reached the finals of three other events. He has a career high doubles ranking of No. 624.
