Vols-Florida: Most-Watched College Football Game Last Weekend

The Tennessee-Florida football game was the most-watched college football game for the week of Sept. 15. ESPN's broadcast led all games with 5,076,000 total viewers for Florida's 37-20 victory over the Vols.

The game garnered a rating of 30.1 in Knoxville, meaning nearly one in every three homes in the area were tuned into the Vols football game.

The ABC Saturday Night Football broadcast - a 20-3 Notre Dame win over Michigan State - was the week's second most-viewed game, averaging 4,977,000 viewers.

In addition, ESPNU's coverage of Pittsburgh's 35-17 upset over then-No. 13 Virginia Tech was ESPNU's most-viewed college football game in the noon window, averaging 679,000 viewers. Overall, ESPN2 and ESPNU are posting viewership growth for its game telecasts over the same point last year. ESPN2 is averaging 1,437,000 viewers for an increase of 10% (vs. 1,301,000) while ESPNU is averaging 511,000 viewers, marking an increase of 2% (vs. 500,000).
