Catchings, Fever Headed To WNBA Finals

Former Lady Vol standout Tamika Catchings scored 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds Sunday night to lead the Indiana Fever to their second WNBA Finals appearance in four seasons.

The Fever defeated the Connecticut Sun in the best-of-three Eastern Conference Finals, 2-1, with an 87-71 victory in Uncasville, Conn. Another former Lady Vol, Kara Lawson, had 16 points in the losing cause for the Sun.

Indiana will play in Game 1 of the best-of-five Finals on Sunday at defending champion Minnesota, which swept Los Angeles in the Western Conference.
