AUSTIN, Texas -- Volunteer assistant Davis Tarwater and former Lady Vol Christine Magnuson both finished with medals Thursday to start the AT&T Winter National Championships.

Magnuson, a four-year standout for the Lady Vols who now trains in Arizona, had the fastest prelim time in the women's 50 free but ended up finishing third in the evening finals in 21.91.
Evan Pinion, a Knoxville swimmer who recently signed his National Letter of Intent with the Vols, took sixth in the 500 freestyle in 4:19.78. He had clocked a time of 4:17.21 in the preliminaries.
A former SEC champion breaststroker for UT, Brad Craig found success in the 200 individual medley. He qualified for the evening races with the 21st fastest time in the preliminaries and then won the C Final in a time of 1:46.17.
