Rogers, Patterson Star In NFL Debuts

Wide Receiver U. had a great showing on Friday night in NFL action as the first full weekend of preseason action continued. Check out how some former Vols did at the next level. 

Cordarrelle Patterson, Eddie Pleasant, Rock Carmichael
First-round draft pick Cordarrelle Patterson was electric in his Minnesota Vikings debut. CP opened the game with a 50-yard kickoff return and hauled in four passes for 54 yards. His Vikings lost to the Texans, 27-13

2013 NFL preseason: Lions 26, Jets 17

With the New York Jets, Zach Rogers made a grand debut as he caught his first-career pro TD on an 11-yard reception. He finished with two catches for 20 yards in the Jets' 26-17 loss at Detroit

In his Kansas City Chiefs debut, Tyler Bray completed 3-of-7 passes for 27 yards as Kansas City lost to Jabari Greer and the New Orleans Saints, 17-13. Greer had two tackles including a sack. Also with the Chiefs, Dustin Colquitt punted seven times for a 42.6 average. 

Tauren Poole had nine carries for 23 yards and a reception for seven yards with the Panthers, who beat the Chicago Bears, 24-17.  

Mychal Rivera made his debut with the Oakland Raiders in a late 19-17 win over the Cowboys. He didn't have any catches. Former Vols receiver Denarius Moore had a catch for 17 yards.
