This Day In #Vols History (Oct. 10)

One of the trademarks of Tennessee football debuted on this date, Oct. 10 in 1964. Coach Doug Dickey debuted the checkerboard end zones on this date as the Volunteers beat Boston College, 16-14 at Neyland Stadium.

Tennessee is 13-3 all-time on Oct. 10.
