This Day In #Vols History (Oct. 24)

The Vols have a 12-3-2 record all-time on Oct. 24. Tennessee didn't lose a game on the date from 1925 through 1998. In the National Championship season of 1998, the Vols dumped Alabama, 35-18 on Oct. 24 as Travis Henry ran for 113 yards and two touchdowns. Peerless Price returned a kickoff 100 yards to equal the longest return in UT history.

Also on Oct. 24, 1970, Tennessee thumped Florida, 38-7. Bobby Scott threw for a then-record 385 passing yards and was named the AP Back of the Week. Jackie Walker also returned an interception 19 yards for a touchdown.
