This Day In #Vols History (Oct. 31)

The Vols have had good success on Halloween in the course of history with a 12-3 all-time record.

On Oct. 31, 1998, quarterback Tee Martin set the NCAA record for most consecutive completions with 23 in a row vs South Carolina in a 49-14 Tennessee win. Martin finished the game 23-of-24 for 315 yards and fur touchdowns. Peerless Price had 10 catches for 165 yards in the win.

On Oct. 31, 2009, the Vols knocked off No. 21 South Carolina as Tennessee donned black uniforms on Halloween. That win was UT's last vs. a ranked team until the Vols ended a 19-game losing streak to ranked teams on Oct. 19, 2013 with a 23-21 win over South Carolina.
