This Day In #Vols History (Nov. 14)

On November 14, 1998, the No. 1 Tennessee Volunteers defeated No. 10 Arkansas, 28-24, in a battle of unbeatens at Neyland Stadium.

Leading 24-22 with 1:47 to go, Arkansas needed only one first down to run out the clock. Razorbacks' QB Clint Stoerner tripped over the foot of his offensive lineman and attempted to use the football to steady himself, but as he stumbled, the ball came free and UT's Billy Ratliff recovered. Travis Henry took it from there, gaining 43 yards on the ground in five plays and leaped into the endzone for the game-winning TD. The Vols are 12-5 all-time on Nov. 14.
