On Nov. 6, 1999, the No. 4 Vols knocked off No. 24 Notre Dame, 38-14 as ESPN's College Gameday was on campus. Lee Corso dressed as Davy Crockett and selected the Vols on the show.

On Nov. 6, 1993, the 7th-ranked Vols dismantled No. 13 Louisville, 45-10 at Neyland Stadium as DeRon Jenkins had an interception and fumble return for a touchdown. Heath Shuler threw for 215 yards and run for a score.

On Nov. 6, 2010, Tyler Bray made his first-career start as a true freshman at Memphis as he threw for five touchdowns in a 50-14 victory.
