On Sunday, the Knoxville News Sentinel has a feature focused on Athletic Director Dave Hart's perspective after one year with Butch Jones as the helm of the Vols. Read the story: Focused on the future: Dave Hart enthused by Jones' direction.

Here are a few key quotes:

"Every day Butch Jones is focused on recruiting. There's not a day that goes by that he doesn't lend his priority and his energies to that element of the program," Hart said. "We've got to get to February; nobody's signed. But certainly it is obvious that we are fishing in the right pond."

"We've played five of the top ten teams in the country -- in the final poll. No one else did that. Yet I know a lot of people say, 'Well, you can't use that as an excuse.' It's not an excuse. It's a statement of fact. We played a very challenging schedule with a team that was very much rebuilding in the sense of new expectations, higher standards that Butch put in place.

"My biggest disappointment at the end of the season was for our seniors. I really did want to see them be rewarded with a bowl."
