Former Vols star and longtime Minnesota Vikings lineman Tim Irwin was named to the All-Mall of America Field Team as the team plays its final season at what was formerly known as the Metrodome. Irwin was an offensive tackle with the Vikings from 1981-93.

Irwin was an All-SEC performer for the Vols and earned Academic All-American in 1980. Irwin is a member of the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame.  In 2005 he was appointed Judge of the Juvenile Court for Knox County and has been practicing law for more than 20 years. Irwin was also a co-founder of the Catholic Youth Football League in Knoxville. The league allows children who do not have a school team to play on a faith-based team and compete together against schools in the area.
Voted on by fans over the past month and recognized as the greatest Vikings to play in the stadium, the team consists of 27 current and former players broken into 12 offensive players, 11 defensive players and four special teamers, as well as the head coach. The team will be honored during halftime of this Sunday's Eagles-Vikings game.
