    VFL Tobias Harris' Inspiration

If Orlando Magic forward Tobias Harris ever needs inspiration, he never has to look outside his own family.

His 90-year-old grandfather, Lt. Col. John Mulzac, is a role model.

In 1942, when the armed forces were segregated, Mulzac joined the U.S. Army Air Corps. He became one of America's first black military pilots, a group known as the Tuskegee Airmen.

"He always told us as kids that we could do anything in this world if we put our mind to it," Harris said, a smile on his face. "He's been definitely an inspiration to me, and I love him to death."

On Wednesday night, Mulzac plans to turn on his TV in the Brooklyn, N.Y., home he shares with his wife of 67 years and watch the Magic face the Phoenix Suns in Phoenix.

#VFL Ovince Saint Preux Wins At UFC 171

#VFL Ovince Saint Preux picked up his fourth consecutive win at UFC 171 in Dallas, last night. Here's a look at a recap from MMA Junkie. He is now 15-5 overall.

    Embedded image permalink

DALLAS - Ovince St. Preux gave many MMA fans a submission lesson when he choked Nikita Krylov unconscious.

Media previewIt didn't take "OSP" long to get Krylov to the canvas, and while Krylov was going after a choke, it was St. Preux who was squeezing on a Von Flue choke to put Krylov to sleep quickly into the first round.

The light heavyweight bout opened up the main card of today's UFC 171 event at American Airlines Center in Dallas. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 2 and UFC Fight Pass.

St. Preux took Krylov down early off a kick and worked his way to side control. Krylov held on to St. Preux's neck and threatened with a guillotine while St. Preux was on top.

But St. Preux worked to briefly pin Krylov's right arm down, while keeping his left arm around his neck at the same time. He used his left arm and shoulder to control Krylov's head, and he squeezed his way to a rare submission.

As referee Dan Miragliotta got into position, he checked on Krylov, and he was out cold from the seldom-seen Von Flue choke, named after Season 2 "Ultimate Fighter" contestant Jason Von Flue.

"Tonight I'm calling that the performance of the night," St. Preux said. "Every time I'm in side mount and they have a guillotine on me, I'm going for the Von Flue. All I had to do is just get my hips low. But once I had my hands locked down, I knew I was going to get it."

St. Preux (15-5 MMA, 3-0 UFC) won for the fourth straight time and stayed unbeaten in the UFC. Krylov (16-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) is back in the loss column after a quick knockout win in Chicago in January at heavyweight.
