Stewart Goes 2-for-5 In USA's International Opener

Photo: In his first game against international competition on Tuesday, Christin Stewart went 2-for-5 for Team USA as the Americans tied Chinese Taipei, 5-5 in Cary, N.C., last night. Stewie is hitting .485 to lead Team USA's Collegiate National Team!

In the U.S. Collegiate National Team's first international competition of the summer, Tennessee's Christin Stewart went 2-for-5 as Team USA tied Chinese Taipei, 5-5, in 10 innings. 

Stewart is leading the CNT in batting with a .485 average, going 16-for-33 in play thus far. He also leads in hits (16), doubles (7), homers (2), slugging percentage (.879) and RBI (11).

The Collegiate National Team continues its series against Chinese Taipei at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Keeter Stadium in Shelby, N.C. The two squads will square off in game three on July 3 at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte, N.C., and again on July 4 and 5 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, N.C.
