On Saturday morning, the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team topped Chinese Taipei, 4-1, in the semifinal round of Honkbal Week at Pim Mulier Stadium. With the win, Team USA improves to 17-3-2 overall this summer and advances to the championship game on Sunday, facing the winner of a Japan-Netherlands matchup scheduled for Saturday evening.
UT's Christin Stewart
produced another multi-hit game for Team USA, going 2-for-4 with a double, one walk and one RBI as the club's designated hitter. Entering Sunday's championship game, Stewart continues to lead the USA squad with a .394 average, 26 hits, 11 doubles and 16 RBI through his 20 games (17 starts) this summer.
