Since transferring to Tennessee, Spade has scored five goals and has played in 31 games, starting 23. Carmichael hails from Apopka, Fla. and was rated as the 25th-ranked prospect in the state of Florida. He will look to serve a role at the forward position.

Happy Birthday to women's tennis sophomore Laurence Guevremont!
Laurence Guevremont
Guevremont is a native of Montreal, Quebec. During her freshman debut, she notches her longest singles win-streak of the season winning four back-to-back matches. She finished the season with a winning record of 17-14 in singles and has a 10-17 record in doubles.

Happy Birthday to former Vol Fred Weary of football and current Lady Vol Cierra Burdick of women's basketball!

Weary started in all 12 games of his senior year on the offensive line. He was a leader on the line helping former Vol Travis Stephens to set the single-season rushing record. Weary had an NFL career with the Texans and Browns, starting in 43 of 63 games played.

Burdick, a senior forward, was named to the 2014 SEC All-Tournament team and received conference academic honors. She started in 25 of 35 games played in her junior season. Burdick averages 7.1 points per game and 5.47 rebounds per game.

Join us in wishing a very Happy Birthday to two current Vols, Jasmine Jones of women's basketball and Owen Williams of football.

Jones, a sophomore, has played in 69 games in her career, starting in eight. She averages 4.8 points per game and 3.71 rebounds per game. 

Williams, a redshirt junior, is a transfer from Butler C.C. and has played in all four games so far this season. He has 11 tackles on the season.

Kiger earned SEC academic honors both in 2013 and 2014. As a sophomore, Kiger competed in all five of Tennessee's fall collegiate meets, focusing on freestyle and butterfly. 

Happy Birthday - Sept. 24

Happy Birthday to former Lady Vol golfer Sara Monberg and current Vol Football players Mike Wegzyn and Michael Cantwell!

Monberg was an Academic All-American. She played in 44 tournaments for the Lady Vols and had a 75.87 stroke average. Monberg also carded two top-10 and 14 top-25 finishes. 

Wegzyn is a redshirt junior that transferred to UT as a quarterback from UMass. At UMass, he played and started in the majority of the games during the 2012 and 2013 campaigns.

Cantwell is a redshirt junior at the linebacker positon. He walked on to the team in Fall of 2011. He was on the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2012 and 2013.

Join us in wishing NFL Vol and VFL Zach Fulton a very Happy Birthday!


Fulton was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014 and has since then started in all three games of the regular season. During his tenure at Tennessee, Fulton started in every game during his sophomore through senior years. 

Happy Birthday - Sept. 20

Today we wish two former Vols a very Happy Birthday to Clint Johnson (Swimming and Diving) and Rick Lamb (Men's Golf)!

In his senior season, Johnson earned his career best times in the 1000 freestyle (11:03.48) and the 100 breaststroke (59.60).

Lamb was finished his career with a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships and was named a 2013 PING All-American honorable mention.




Happy Birthday - Sept. 18

Join us in wishing a very Happy Birthday to Geraldo Orta of football and Tiffany Tavares of women's tennis.



Defensive back Orta, a redshirt junior, has tallied up nine career tackles in 24 games. Orta has appeared in all three games this season.

Tavares won a season high straight four matches in her sophomore season. She sealed the first SEC win with an individual victory against South Carolina.

Happy Birthday - Sept. 15

Join us in wishing a very Happy Birthday to two former Vols and one current, Gene McEver (football), Luke Hochevar (baseball) and Josh Richardson (men's basketball)!



McEver was "the best player I ever coached... the best I ever saw" according to Gen. Neyland. While at Tennessee, McEver was an All-Southern selection each year and was the first player to be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Hochevar was one of the top-rated pitchers in the country. He had an NCAA-leading 11 wins and had a career-high 13 strikeouts. He also moved into the fifth-place on Tennessee's single-season wins list during his tenure. He currently plays for the Kansas City Royals.

Richardson, a senior, had a breakout junior year starting in 37 games and was named to the 2014 SEC All-Defensive Team. He was the team's third-leading scorer, averaging 10.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
