Also from the archives, May 11 was the day that former football player Clyde Fuson was born in 1923. "Ig"  is one of seven Vols to have their number (No. 62) retired in football. He was one of four Vols to not return home from World War II and was memorialized along with Bill Nowling, Rudy Klarer and Willis Tucker. Fuson, a native of Middlesboro, Ky., and fullback on the 1942 team, who shared playing time with Nowling. Ig had a younger brother, Herschel (Ug) Fuson, who was a freshman on the 1942 team and transferred to West Point where he graduated.

Happy Birthday - Feb. 16: Ivy Renfroe and Marie-Eve Nault

On February 16, we send birthday wishes to two former Lady Vols, softball's Ivy Renfroe and soccer's Marie-Eve Nault.

Ivy Renfroe made her mark in the record books while playing for the Lady Vols, she concluded her career ranked second in school history in appearances (176) and wins (97). She is also third in career innings pitched (749.2) and strikeouts (737). She finished her Tennessee career as one of the most dependable postseason pitchers, totaling 18 wins in the NCAA Tournament and helping UT to three WCWS appearances (2010, 2012, 2013)

Marie-Eve Nault played for the Lady Vols from 2000-2003 and is currently a Canadian soccer defender who plays for KIF Örebro and the Canada women's national soccer team. She represented Canada at the 2012 Summer Olympics winning the bronze medal.

Football defensive back Jabari Greer, of the New Orleans Saints was born on February 11, 1982. He has played in the NFL since 2004.



We also pay tribute to the late Dyron Nix who would have celebrated his birthday today. Nix starred for the Volunteers and head coach Don DeVoe from 1986-89 and was a two-time first-team All-SEC performer (1988, 1989). He ranks eighth on Tennessee's all-time scoring list with 1,877 career points. 

Soccer Alums Nault & R. Wilkinson, Canada Take On USA Tonight

Tennessee soccer alums Marie-Eve Nault and Rhian Wilkinson suit of for the Canadian National Team tonight to face Team USA in an international friendly played in Frisco, Texas. The match starts at 9 p.m. ET and will be televised on FoxSports 1.

Hannah Wilkinson Among Top 15 For 2015 NWSL Draft

TopDrawerSoccer.com listed Tennessee rising senior Hannah Wilkinson as one of its top 15 players who will be eligible for the 2015 NWSL draft. She is one of three SEC players on the list. The other two are Kentucky's Arin Gilliland and South Carolina goalkeeper Sabrina D'Angelo.
