Lady Vol Illustrated returns to the airwaves tonight at 7 p.m., on the Lady Vol Network. Lady Vol fans can tune in once a week for Lady Vols Illustrated, a weekly radio show featuring Lady Vol basketball Head Coach Holly Warlick, one women's basketball student-athlete and one other Lady Vol student-athlete or coach. The show is hosted by Voice of the Lady Vols Mickey Dearstone along with Knoxville News Sentinel sports writer Dan Fleser.

 

Tonight's Lady Vols Illustrated features head coach Holly Warlick and live appearances from senior Isabelle Harrison and women's swimmer Molly Hannis.


Harrison became the 39th Lady Vol to reach the 1,000 point club last week against Kentucky. 

 

The program begins at 7 p.m. ET and fans can listen on 99.1 FM and 990 AM, as well as online at http://www.sportsradiownml.com/ or HERE on the Lady Vol Network.

Kiger earned SEC academic honors both in 2013 and 2014. As a sophomore, Kiger competed in all five of Tennessee's fall collegiate meets, focusing on freestyle and butterfly.

Today we wish two former Vols a very Happy Birthday to Clint Johnson (Swimming and Diving) and Rick Lamb (Men's Golf)!

In his senior season, Johnson earned his career best times in the 1000 freestyle (11:03.48) and the 100 breaststroke (59.60).

Lamb was finished his career with a runner-up finish at the NCAA Championships and was named a 2013 PING All-American honorable mention.

Heron Takes 12th at FINA World Cup Event

Tennessee freshman David Heron finished 12th in a close field Thursday at the FINA Marathon World Cup event at Lac St. Jean in Canada. 

Heron finished the 10K open water race in 1 hour, 59 minutes, 7.2 seconds.

Fifteen of the 26 competitors swam the course in under two hours. Andreas Waschburger of Germany won in 1:56.44.9. 

Heron will return to pool competition in two weeks with the Phillips 66 National Championships in Irvine, Calif.

He has spent most of the summer excelling in open water races. He placed fifth in both he 5K and 10K at the USA Swimming Open Water Championships in June.
