The Tennessee swimming and diving team has been in the news quite a bit over the last few days, for stories of survival and recovery to national team predictions.
Former Tennessee swimmer Nicole Gross and her husband (another UT swimming alum) Michael, were both injured in the Boston Marathon bombing at the finish line earlier this year. August 23rd marks the birthday of former Vol basketball and Chicago Bulls great Tom Boerwinkle, who passed away on March 26, 2013. The 4th pick in the 1968 NBA Draft, Boerwinkle was an All-American and helped lead UT to the 1967 SEC Championship.
