Tennessee Update: Volleyball Blog (9/6)

The 16th-ranked Tennessee volleyball team hits the road for its final regular season tournament of 2012 this weekend. UT will travel to College Park, Md., to compete in the SpringHill Suites at Arundel Mills Invitational hosted by the University of Maryland. After being sidelined due to injury in 2011, redshirt senior Kayla Jeter returned to the Lady Vols' roster this season. The 15th-ranked Tennessee volleyball team rebounded after a three-set loss to No. 12 Florida State on Friday night, to defeat Cincinnati in four frames and upset No. 10 Iowa State, 3-2, on Saturday to claim second place in the annual Comcast Lady Vol Classic this weekend. Tonight marks the start of the 2012 season for the Lady Vol volleyball team, which welcomes No. 10 Iowa State, No. 12 Florida State and Cincinnati to Thompson-Boling Arena for the annual Comcast Lady Vol Classic.
