Additional costs

UT provides spirit program student-athletes with uniforms, travel expenses, practice clothes, camp costs, competition fees and most other items required to fulfill their duties and perform at their best.

At the University of Tennessee we are fortunate to have access to some of the finest training facilities in the nation. We make use of the same football complex, weight room, training rooms and video facilities as our nationally ranked football and basketball teams.

Safety

All of our coaches are ACCAA safety certified. UT athletic trainers attend practices and accompany our squads to athletic events and competitions.

Academics First

The UT Athletic Department proactively monitor each student-athlete's academic progress. Students are required to put academic work before athletics involvement as we strive to mold our student-athletes into a complete unit.

Incoming freshmen or transfer students as well as currently enrolled UT students may tryout with proof of official acceptance or enrollment to UT at the time of tryouts. All Students must follow the standard admission procedures of the University. Contact the Admissions Office (865) 974-2184 for information or answers to questions you may have. A minimum of a 2.0 grade point average is mandatory. In compliance with NCAA guidelines, Tennessee observes a maximum of four years of varsity athletic eligibility.
