Ask Mike - August 2005

Sept. 1, 2005

Mike,
I just came from the Welcome Back BBQ and just wanted to thank you for a very fun night. The players and coaches was very nice and showed great class. We have a bunch of great guys over there. I also got to meet Coach Pearl he was very friendly and seems ready to get us going in the right direction. I think he will fit in great. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
Go Vols !! Scotti Simmons, Knoxville

Thanks Scotti. I'm glad you enjoyed the evening.
Thanks for your support!
Mike

Exactly how many seats will be lost to the Neyland Stadium renovation, and of those how many will be student seats?
Wil, Elizabethon/Knoxville

Hi Wil,
Thanks for your e-mail. The stadium will lose approximately 3,000 seats. Rather than reduce the number of tickets the students or alumni development office have, the VASF has chosen to suffer the loss of all the tickets themselves. The only impact on the student tickets will be that we will have to move about 1,500 of the 13,000 tickets to other locations.

I hope that answers your question. Thanks for your support of Tennessee athletics.
Go Vols!
Mike

How many active UT football players have already graduated and or will graduate in December?
Joseph Holt, Rogersville AL

Hi Joseph, Thanks for your e-mail. Six current Vols have graduated: Jason Allen, Rick Clausen, Richie Gandy, C.J. Fayton, Jason Mitchell, and Sam Wantland. We plan on nine more graduating in December.

Thanks for your interest in Tennessee athletics.
Go Vols!
Mike
