Doug Kose has joined the University of Tennessee Athletics Department as the director for sales and marketing in men's athletics.
Kose's responsibilities will include developing and implementing marketing and ticket sales plans for men's basketball and baseball and overseeing the development and implementation of marketing plans for men's Olympic sports.
Previously, Kose worked as the assistant athletic director of marketing and promotions at Eastern Michigan University. While at EMU, he worked to increase sponsorship revenue and establish attendance records in multiple sports, planned advertising purchases, and was responsible for overseeing marketing plans for all varsity teams.
Kose also served as the coordinator for athletic promotions and marketing, during which time he established the EMU student spirit club and set season attendance records for multiple sports. Prior to that, he served as athletics administrative associate, assisting in marketing promotions operations and soliciting corporate sponsorships for the athletics department.
Kose is a cum laude graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, with a bachelor's degree in business administration and sport management. Kose obtained his master's degree in athletic administration from Springfield College in Springfield, Mass.
