"Bob & Bert on Vol Basketball"

The broadcasting tandem of "Bob and Bert" describe the action from Tennessee basketball games for the Vol Radio Network. Bob Kesling will handle the play-by-play duties while former Vol Bert Bertelkamp will serve as color analyst. The tandem can be heard on over 60 stations throughout the state of Tennessee and much of the Southeast. Nighttime coverage of the Vol Radio Network reaches portions of 28 states. Kesling, who was named UT's director of broadcasting for men's and women's athletics in spring 1999, serves as the voice of Tennessee basketball. A member of the Vol Network staff since 1978, Kesling was a longtime sports anchor for Knoxville television station WBIR and a lead announcer on Jefferson-Pilot Sports. He also served as the radio and television voice of the Lady Vols basketball team for over 22 years. Kesling's other radio experience includes the SEC Radio Network, the Knoxville Cherokees (ice hockey) and the Knoxville Blue Jays (baseball).

Former UT guard Bert Bertelkamp was a four-year letterman from 1977-80. He led the team in assists in 1980 and ranks eighth on UT's all-time assists list. He was a member of the 1976-77 SEC championship team and the 1979 SEC Tournament championship squad. The Vols amassed a record of 72-45 and participated in three NCAA tournaments during his playing days. For a number of years, Bertelkamp has served as the television color analyst for Tennessee basketball games broadcast by the Vol Television Network and FOX Sports Net South.

Tennessee Tipoff Show: Vol Network coverage begins with this informative and entertaining show which airs 30 minutes before tip-off. Bob Kesling and Bert Bertelkamp set the stage from the game site. Network host John Wilkerson previews action around the country and the SEC.
