She has the ability to do any stroke at any distance well, so we're really excited about her IM this year. She has also proven to be a great relay swimmer, and we expect her to help our relays reach the podium at NCAAs this year."

2005-06: Competed in her first-ever NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, swimming with the 400y freestyle relay which claimed 12th place...Posted a lifetime-best 2:03.90 in the 200y IM to take 54th at NCAAs...Member of school record-setting 400y FR quartet which took third place at the Southeastern Conference Championships...Scored points at the league meet for the first time of her career...Finished 18th in the 200y IM with a then career-best 2:04.15...Touched the wall in 52.18 to snare 18th place in the 100 free...Had qualified for the finals with a lifetime-best 51.64...Established a personal best in the 200y free, 1:51.69, to snag her highest showing in the event (22nd) at SECs...Swam with victorious 400y FR group which helped UT topple rival South Carolina...Claimed runner-up honors in the 200y backstroke in Lady Vols' campaign-christening triumph at Louisville...Churned out a season-best 24.38 in the 50y free during UT's thrashing of Alabama...Helped four Big Orange relay squads finish in the scoring at the highly-competitive Purdue Invite...Turned in a season-best 59.82 in the 100y back at the same meet.

2004-05: Swam the second leg of the 200y freestyle relay squad which claimed first place at Florida...Opened the year by taking third and fourth place in the 100 and 200y backstroke against Richmond...Finished in the scoring in UT's victory at Southeastern Conference rival Arkansas in the 50 and 100y free, finishing third and fourth, respectively...Contributed to the Lady Vols' point total at the Georgia Tech Invite by way of taking ninth in the 100y back and 14th in the 200y IM...Christy was a member of five relays which reeled in points at the Invite...Anchored the 200y medley relay squad which won at Northwestern...Earned fourth in the 100y back at the meet, while also swimming on the 200y free relay and 400y medley relay which took third and fourth, respectively...Posted two collegiate-best times at the SEC Championships, clocking 58.15 in the 100y back to be the top alternate and touching in 2:06.57 in the 200y back for 24th...Assisted three UT relays to 15th-place finishes at the Purdue Invite.

2003-04: Earned eight points for the Big Orange in season-opening victory over SEC rival Kentucky with a pair of second-place showings...Time of 53.07 in the 100y freestyle was a season-low for the freshman...Took runner-up honors in both the 100 and 200y freestyles...A member of seven relay squads which took home victories for the Orange and White...Swam the second leg of the 200y freestyle relay squad which won the event in a time of 1:36.81 against Auburn...Overall on the year finished in the top-five on 25 occasions as an individual...Clocked a collegiate-best time of 1:53.52 in the 200y freestyle, earning a third-place finish at the Houston Invite...Christy finished outside of the top-five just six times all-year long.


HIGH SCHOOL: Led North Central High School to six state championships, four as part of the 200y freestyle relay and two as a member of the 400y freestyle squad...Honored with All-America status for her performance in the 100y backstroke and the 200y IM in 2002...Was an All-America champion in the 200y freestyle relay in 2002...Efforts in the 100y back and 200y IM nabbed her IHSAA state runner-up status four times from 2001 to 2003...Named the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association Swimmer of the Year in 2002...Tabbed to the NCHS High Honor Roll for academic excellence.
