DUAL MEET RECAP

  • Led Vols for a second season as team captain, ushering the team into a new phase as a combined men's/women's program while also serving as the Vols' top 50 free sprinter
  • Won both races in season opener at UNC Wilmington, the 50 and 100 freestyle with times of 21.30 and 46.71 respectively
  • Won the 50 freestyle against Louisville with a season best time (20.55)
  • Swam a season best against Ohio State in the 100 breaststroke (56.72)
  • At the Tennessee Invitational, won the 100 freestyle and took silver in the 50 freestyle. He also swam the 200 freestyle in competition for the first time, taking third in the event.
  • Finished top three in the 50 freestyle in every meet in the regular season, winning the race three times including in a senior day upset of Georgia (19.99)
  • Won the 100 breaststroke once against Virginia Tech to open the spring semester of competition

SEC RECAP

  • Recorded his best individual SEC race finish, taking fourth in the 50 freestyle (19.70)
  • Finished behind teammate Renato Prono to take 10th in the 100 breaststroke in a career-best time of 53.40
  • Took sixth in the 100 freestyle in 43.14
  • Part of two medal-winning relay teams: the 200 medley relay, which took silver, and the bronze medal 400 medley relay team

NCAA RECAP

  • Closed college career as part of three All-America relay teams
  • 400 free relay team took 12th, the 200 free relay team was 13th and the 400 medley relay team was 16th, earning Walsh three All-America honors

  • SEC Championships: Finished 26th in 50 freestyle with a 20.32 mark. Placed 22nd in 100 freestyle with a career-best 44.44 second time. Finished 19th in 100 breaststroke with a 56.12 mark. Helped the 400 free relay to a fourth-place finish (2:54.12)
  • NCAA Championships: Placed 41st in 50 free with a career-best 20.12 time. Earned honorable mention All-America status as a part of three UT relays: 200 freestyle relay (13th, 1:19.00), 800 freestyle relay (16th, 6:31.82) and the 200 medley relay (9th, 1:25.96)
