DUAL MEET SEASON

  • Opened her final season in a meet against UNC Wilmington, winning the 1000 freestyle and 200 breaststroke
  • Swam three races in the double dual meet against against Kentucky and Indiana, earning a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly
  • Won all three of her individual races -- the 100 fly, 200 fly and 500 free -- and helped the winning 200 medley relay team to start the home season vs. Louisville
  • Won three races again against Ohio State, setting season bests in the 100 fly (53.29), 200 fly (1:56.53) and 200 IM (2:02.43)
  • Returned to some freestyle races at the Tennessee Invitational, winning the 100 free and 500 free and placing third in the 50 freestyle
  • Went unbeaten in the 100 and 200 butterfly during the dual meet season (won the 100 butterfly 6 times, the 200 butterfly 6 times).
  • She helped lead the Lady Vols to their first victory in more than 20 years over eventual national champion Georgia. She won both the 100 and 200 butterfly and pitched in on relays

SEC RECAP

  • Took home five medals at her final SEC meet
  • Part of the SEC and school-record setting 200 medley relay team that took gold in 1:35.08
  • Part of three school-record setting relay teams 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, 800 free relay. The 200 free relay team finished second and the the 800 free relay and 400 medley relay teams took bronze
  • Finished third in the 200 butterfly

NCAA RECAP

  • Helped lead the Lady Vols to their best NCAA team finish in program history, taking third behind Georgia and California
  • Swam a leg on the Lady Vols' first three NCAA championship relay teams: the 200 free relay, the 200 medley relay and the 400 medley relay.
  • Earned six All-America honors, four of them first team. In doing so, she earned the most All-America honors in program history with 24
  • Also swam a leg on the 400 freestyle relay team that finished fourth
  • Individually placed 11th in the 100 butterfly (52.05)

SUMMER 2012

  • Won 200-meter butterfly at the U.S. Open Swimming Championships (2:08.74), which was the third-fastest time by an American in 2012 at that point. She also finished second in the 100 butterfly
  • Competed in the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials, reaching the A final in both the 100 and 200 butterfly
  • Earned roster spot on the U.S. roster for the 2013 World University Games
  • Named to the USA Swimming National Team.

SEASON RECAP

  • Tallied seven All-America certificates, six being first team, while breaking three Tennessee records on relays at the NCAA Championships
  • Swam the fly leg on both the 200y medley relay (1:35.91) and the record setting 400y medley relay (3:29.92), finishing third in each
  • Individually, registered two more third-place finishes in both fly events, touching in with a 100y fly time of 51.67 seconds and 1:54.28 in the 200y event
  • Showed her versatility by being a part of the 200y free relay (1:38.55) and 400y free relay (3:14.51), claiming sixth and seventh in the events
  • Recorded her first SEC individual title at the league meet in Knoxville, placing first in the 200y fly with an automatic qualifying time of 1:54.65
  • Swam the fly leg on both gold medal medley relays that set Lady Vol and conference records at SECs
  • Made three more trips to the podium at the conference championships, grabbing third in the 100y fly (52.42), 400y free relay (3:15.09) and 800y free relay (7:03.63)
  • Ranks second on the UT performers list in the 200y IM after a B-cut and fourth-place clocking of 1:58.58 at SECs
  • During the dual meet season, accumulated 17 first-place finishes, including taking the top spot in four events against No. 1 Georgia
  • She was named the SEC Swimmer of the Week for her efforts versus UGA
  • Has multiple wins in all but one dual meet this season
  • Had wins in the 200y fly, 400 FR and 200y MR against Florida
  • Swept her four events against Louisville

  • Broke the longest standing UT record, the 200y fly, after swimming a time of 1:54.17 at the SEC Championships

  • Was a member of the UT and SEC record setting 400y MR at SECs
  • Also swam on three third place relays (200y MR, 400y FR, 800y FR) and took fourth in the 200y FR

  • Tabbed the Counsilman-Hunsaker Division I National Collegiate Swimmer of the Week on Jan. 12 by CollegeSwimming.com after notching three individual wins and a relay victory against then No. 9 Virginia
  • Swept four events in the opening dual meet against Arkansas
  • Grabbed the top spots in the 200y fly and 200y back in her hometown of Lexington, Ky., against the Wildcats
  • Accounted for 10 top-five finishes at the Tennessee Invitational, including winning the 100y fly and 400y free relay
  • Against second -ranked Georgia, won both the 100y and 200y fly events
  • Had two first-place finishes and two runner-up finishes at Florida
  • Finished first in the 200y fly and 200y MR against Louisville

  • Finished second in the 200y back and added a fourth-place finish in the 100y back at the Tennessee Last Chance Meet
  • Was a member of four relay squads that finished fifth or better at the SEC Championships, including the first-place 200y medley relay
  • Her 200y fly time of 1:58.01 at the SEC Championships is the second fastest school mark
  • Was on the winning 200y medley and 400y free relays against Florida
  • Had second-place finishes in the 200y back, 200y medley relay and 400y free relay at Georgia
  • Won the 200y back and claimed third in the 100y back at the Tennessee Invitational
  • Against South Carolina, was victorious in the 200y fly and back
  • Added victories in the 100y back, 1000y free and 200y medley relay against Kentucky

PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
  • A four-time All-American in the 100y fly and 100y back at Tates Creek High School, Floyd placed third in the 100y fly and fifth in the 100y back at the 2009 Kentucky High School Swimming and Diving Championships
  • A Swimming World Magazine four-star recruit, she competed at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100m fly and was a three-time Most Outstanding Female Competitor in her region.
  • At the 2010 ConocoPhillips USA Swimming National Championships, she was a member of the sixth-place 400 medley relay squad, finished 13th overall and fifth in the B Final of the 200m butterfly (2:12.84), touched in at 1:01.44 in the 100m fly and swam a time of 2:04.51 in the 200m free.

  • In addition to her athletic achievements, she was senior class president and a member of the National Honor Society
  • Her cousin, Sarah Bertram, swam at Davidson
  • Chose Tennessee over Northwestern and Ohio State
  • Has two brothers, Chris and Craig
  • Kelsey Jane Floyd, daughter of Richard and Julie Floyd, was born May 12, 1991, in Lexington, Ky.
