A member of the New Jersey Wave club team while also competing for Old Tappan High School ... As a junior, he broke school records in the 200 freestyle (1:44.39) and the 500 freestyle (4:39.40) ... Competed at the US Junior Nationals every year since 2008 and was invited in spring 2011 to train at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
