"I am very excited about Courtney being one of our captains this year. She will be starting her third and final year with the program, and Courtney has been one that, having joined in her sophomore year, has been developing over the course of the last two and one half years, and we think this will be her finest season yet. She has a tremendous work ethic and a tremendous enthusiasm for the sport and the team. We will be looking to her to lead us both in a leadership capacity as well as with her athletic ability as a sprinter. She again will be looked to for big legs on our sprint relays as well as adding considerable depth in the individual sprint events and breaststroke."
