DUAL MEET RECAP

  • Proved to be one of the most versatile swimmers for the Vols, splitting time between the 500 freestyle, 200 butterfly and the individual medleys
  • Won first career race against UNC Wilmington: 200 butterfly (1:53.27)
  • Swam three career bests against Louisville in the 500 freestyle (4:36.19), 200 butterfly (1:51.72), and 400 IM (4:05.97)
  • Competed in three events against Ohio State: 500 freestyle, 200 butterfly and 200 IM
  • Showed off his versatility at the Tennessee Invitational, setting collegiate bests in eight events.
  • His best finish was a fifth-place showing in the 500 freestyle (4:32.99).
  • Recorded five top-five finishes with the 500 freestyle during the regular season: Louisville, Ohio State, Virginia Tech and Florida
  • Competing against his older brother's Florida squad, took fourth in both the 500 freestyle (4:33.06) and the 200 butterfly (1:49.74). Also was sixth in the 200 IM (1:52.93).

SEC RECAP

  • Reached the evening finals and scored points for the Vols in all three of his individual events
  • Best result came in the 400 IM, where he finished 16th. He swam a career best 3:48.99 in the preliminaries
  • Finished 18th in the 200 butterfly with a career-best time of 1:47.26, his first time under 1:48 as a Vol
  • Placed 23rd in the 500 freestyle. Clocked his career best of 4:23.45 in the prelims

PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
  • All-American the last two years while swimming for Peddie School and Peddie Aquatics Association
  • Lettered for his high school for four years, serving the last two as captain
  • In 2011, he swam the fastest time in New Jersey in the 500 freestyle (4:28.83) and was fourth in both the 200 freestyle (1:42.31) and 200 IM (1:53.96).
