2009-10: Swam a leg of the 200y free relay squad that finished fifth at the Southeastern Conference Championships...Placed third in the 100y free and sixth in the 50y free at the Tennessee Last Chance Meet...Had two top-five finishes against Florida, including a fourth-place finish in the 50y free...Was part of the 200y medley relay and 400y free relay teams that finished fourth at Georgia...Finished seventh in the 50y and 100y frees at Virgina...Had runner-up finishes in the 200y medley and free relays against South Carolina...Captured seventh in the 100y free at Louisville and LSU...Named to the SEC Freshmen Academic Honor Roll.
HIGH SCHOOL: Captured her second straight 50y free title and swam on three winning relays at the 2009 Tennessee High School Swimming and Diving Championships...Shared Tennessee Female Swimmer of the Year Award and led the Baylor School to a repeat state championship...Tied the meet record and won the 100y free at the Eastern Prep Championships in 2009...A four-star Swimming World Magazine recruit, she was a 15-time All-American and had the second-fastest 50y free time among high school seniors in 2009.
PERSONAL: Majoring in global studies...Her mother, Laura (Sawyer), earned All-America honors for the Lady Vols as a member of the 400y medley relay in 1984, making her the first legacy in Lady Vol swimming and diving history...Has a brother Joseph, 24, who played football at UTC, and a sister, Arden, 18, who is also a member of the Lady Vol swimming and diving team...Lindsay Sloane Pitman, daughter of Wes and Laura Pitman, was born in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Sept. 14, 1991.
