DUAL MEET RECAP

  • Stepped into the role as the Vols' leading diver after the graduation of Ryan Helms and the injury to Mauricio Robles and proceeded to put together the best year of his career
  • Won 1-meter springboard in season opener at UNC Wilmington with score of 304.88 and placed second in 3-meter springboard (312.38)
  • Scored a career best in the 1-meter against Louisville (347.40)
  • Scored a career best in the 3-meter against Ohio State (380.25)
  • A week later, set new career bests at the Tennessee Invitational on the 3-meter springboard and platform, becoming the ninth diver in UT history to break 400 on the 3-meter when he dove for 407.45.
  • Earned SEC Diver of the Week honors by placing in the top 10 in all three diving events at the 15-team Tennessee Diving Invitational. He broke the 300-point barrier on the platform for the first time (304.35) and got his second-best score on the 3 meter in the prelims (394.45).
  • Won the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions on senior day against Georgia.

SEC RECAP

  • Placed fourth on the 1 meter with a career-best score of 370.60, narrowly missing out on a medal
  • Took seventh on the 3 meter (356.85) and scored for the Vols with a 16th-place finish on platform (274.80)

NCAA RECAP

  • Qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third time in his career at the NCAA Zone B Championships. He earned his spot by rallying for a second-place finish on 3 meter on the second day of the meet.
  • Earned honorable mention All-America honors for the first time in his career by taking 15th on 1 meter with a career best
  • Finished 27th on the 3 meter
  • Honored with the NCAA Elite 89 Award for the second consecutive season. The trophy is given to the student athlete at the championship site with the highest GPA
