KREDICH ON VINCENT:

Danyelle's improvement curve has been steep over the past two short course seasons, and we are really excited that she is coming off the best summer she's had in years. Danyelle gives us no-nonsense leadership. She approaches every practice with focus, presence, passion and humor, and always makes others around her better. She is everything you would hope for.

AT TENNESSEE:

2006-07: Finished the season with a great SEC Championship meet...Swam the fastest 100y back of her career as the first leg of the fifth-place 400y medley team...Scored her first ever points at the SEC Championships by finishing 12th in the 100 backstroke...Had a strong performance in UT's win over Louisville with top honors in the 200y backstroke and fourth and fifth-place showings in the 100y back and the 100y butterfly, respectively...Swam the lead leg in the victorious 200y medley relay...Relay contributions continued with the Lady Vols' wins over Kentucky and South Carolina, as Vincent helped the relay teams place fourth in the 400y medley and sixth in the 400y free...Individually, she earned third in the 200y backstroke in the same meet...Contributed points to UT's second-place finish at the Minnesota Invite...Swam the first leg in the Lady Vols' fifth-place 400y medley and sixth-place 200y medley relays...She also reeled in ninth in the 200y back and 17th in the 100y back in the same competition...Turned in a strong performance in the Orange and White's win over Northwestern, snaring top honors in the 100y back and third in the 200y back...In the same competition, swam the lead-off leg in the 200y medley relay for runner-up honors as well as helping the team in taking third in the 400y medley relay and fourth in the 400y free...Was first in the water again against Georgia, helping the team to place fourth in the 400y medley...In the individual competition, took sixth in the 200y back...The following week against Florida, swam in the 200y free relay, earning third and was fourth in the 200y medley relay...Tallied points with a fourth-place finish in the 200y backstroke against Florida...The squad finished fifth...At the Bulldog Invite, established a career best of 2:03.36 in the 200y back preliminaries...Touched the wall fourth in the 100y back...2005-06: Clocked three then-lifetime bests at the Southeastern Conference Championships, doing so in the 50y free and 100 and 200y backstrokes...Swam with three relays which tallied points for Team Orange at the prestigious Purdue Invite...Helped the Orange and White throttle Alabama at its own pool by swimming with the victorious 200y freestyle relay...Notched a season-best third-place showing in the 200y backstroke in UT's campaign-christening triumph at Louisville...Also banked points in Lady Vol wins against Kentucky, Alabama and Northwestern... 2004-05: Secured second place in the 100y backstroke in Tennessee's win at Arkansas...Member of the second-place finishing 200y medley relay squad against the Lady'Backs...Blazed to then personal-best times in the 50y free, 100y free and 100y backstroke at the SEC...Swam the lead-off leg of the victorious 400y freestyle relay squad in the win against SEC foe Kentucky...Competed with three relay squads that notched top-16 finishes at the Purdue and Georgia Tech Invites.

HIGH SCHOOL:

Earned four varsity letters in swimming at Rancho Cotate H.S. and served as team captain during her senior campaign...In 2002, received NISCA All-America consideration in the 100y freestyle...Member of the All-Empire first team in both 2002 and 2003...With her swim club, claimed the 100y freestyle event crown and runner-up status in the 50y freestyle at the 2002 Western Zone Championship.

PERSONAL:

Pursuing degrees in exercise science and studio art...Lists her biggest thrill as competing at the Western Zones and finishing first in the 100y freestyle from lane one...Other hobbies besides swimming include art, pilates and surfing...Is an only child...Daughter of Tim and Mayre Vincent...Born Danyelle E.
