Wylie competed for the West Austin Aquatics while also swimming for Dripping Springs High School, where he is a two-time All-American ... He was the 2010 state champion in the 100-meter backstroke ... As a junior, he placed third in both the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle ... Scholastic All-American as well.
