KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Sean Lehane and Heather Lundstrom earned SEC swimming honors for the second time this season Tuesday after helping Tennessee to victories over Missouri and Virginia Tech last weekend.
With his victories in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke, Lehane was named the SEC men's swimmer of the week. Lundstrom, a winner in the 200 butterfly once again, was the women's SEC freshman of the week.
Lehane posted a season-best time 1 minute, 44.84 seconds, to win the 200 backstroke for the fourth time this season. He also won the 100 backstroke for fourth time this year and set a career best in the 200 individual medley, finishing third.
Lundstrom has been a butterfly leader for the Tennessee women this season after the graduation of UT great Kelsey Floyd. She won the 200 butterfly for the fourth time this season in 2:00.03. She also placed third in the 100 butterfly in 55.80 and improved her career best in the 200 IM by more than two seconds (2:04.87).
It was the second weekly SEC honor for both Lehane and Lundstrom.
Tennessee is taking the week off from competition before returning to action Jan. 25 against Georgia.
