NORFOLK, Va. — The Tennessee men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs were named CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams, the college coaches association announced.

Both the UT men and women posted team grade point averages above 3.00 during the fall semester for inclusion on the list. The women had a GPA of 3.29 and the men had a GPA of 3.20.

Tennessee has been among the teams succeeding in the classroom and the pool. The Tennessee women, ranked 13th in the CSCAA/TYR national poll, were one of 21 teams in the top 25 to earn scholar honors. The UT men, ranked 16th nationally, were one of 17 teams in the top 25 to earn the team honor.

In NCAA Division I, 91 percent of women’s programs and 71 percent of men’s programs earned the team scholar award.

The Vols wrapped up the regular season last week at Florida, with the women winning in Gainesville for the first time in program history. Tennessee hosts the SEC Championships next, which will be held Feb. 14-18 at Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
