AUBURN, Ala. — Tennessee sophomore Rachel Rubadue finished the NCAA Zone B Championships on Wednesday by qualifying for all three events.
After booking her ticket in both springboard events, Rubadue took fifth on platform with a two-list combined score of 516.65. It is her second time to qualify in all three events.
Sophomore Sean Meyers was 35th overall after preliminaries with 160.90.
“Rachel did a solid job today,” Tennessee diving coach Dave Parrington said. “She was a little up and down in the competition but did was she needed to do, and I’m really pleased about her qualifying in all three events.”
In the men’s competition, senior Michael Howell was 13th overall with a final combined score of 638.60 to finish his college career. He had the seventh-place score after prelims with a career-best 330.00.
“I’m really proud of Michael,” Parrington said. “He had a career best in the prelims and gave all he had to qualify but came up just short. Liam also came up a little short, needing a top-12 finish to make NCAAs. Nick was solid but needed to be sharper in the prelims.”
