Five swimmers and diver Mauricio Robles will compete individually for Tennessee at the 2014 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
The meet will be held March 27-29 in Austin, Texas.
The NCAA announced the swimming field Wednesday with five Vols receiving invitations: Sean Lehane (200-yard backstroke , 100 backstroke), Luke Percy (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle), Sam Rairden (100 butterfly, 100 backstroke), Renato Prono (100 breaststroke) and Tristan Slater (400 individual medley).
Three of Tennessee's swimmers have times that rank in the top-10 nationally.
Lehane, who was invited in three events, has the third-fastest time this year in the 200 backstroke in 1 minute, 39.64 seconds. That time was good for a gold medal in the SEC Championships last month. He also has top-30 times in the 100 backstroke and 200 freestyle.
Percy put together a strong SEC Championship as a freshman. The Australian sprinter took the silver medal in the 100 freestyle in a time of 42.22, the fifth-best time in the nation last year.
Rairden starred on all five of Tennessee relays during the national meet. He also has the 10th-fastest time in the 100 butterfly (45.92).
Robles qualified for the NCAA meet this week with his performance at the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships.
