KAZAN, Russia -- Recent graduate Kelsey Floyd turned in two solid performances Saturday to qualify for the finals of the 100-meter butterfly at the World University Games.
Floyd won her preliminary heat in 1:00.19. She lowered her time in the event in the evening semifinals, placing fourth in the second heat in 59.89. It was the seventh fastest time of the eight final qualifiers.
The finals will be held Sunday. The swimming portion of the WUG is streamed live on espn3.com.
