INDIANAPOLIS -- Rising senior Kelsey Floyd collected her second medal at the U.S. Open Swimming Championships on Thursday, taking second in the 100-meter butterfly.
Floyd improved her time in the evening final and claimed the silver medal in 58.98 seconds. Erika Erndl won the race in 58.75.
Floyd, who figures to be one of the top returners for the Lady Vols in the coming season, has built an impressive summer resume.
She won the 200 butterfly Tuesday in a career-best 2:08.74, the third-best time by an American this year. At the U.S. Olympic Team Trials in June, she finished fourth in the 100 butterfly and eighth in the 200 butterfly.
