Junior Molly Hannis and former SEC champion Brad Craig where both named to the USA Swimming 2013-14 National Team because of their fast breaststroke performances this summer.
Hannis followed up her breakout sophomore season at UT with impressive performances throughout the summer. She reached three A finals at the U.S. World Championship Trials in June. She finished fourth in the 100-meter breaststroke in 1 minute, 07.48 seconds, her best result of the meet.
While Hannis is officially on the national team because of the 100 breaststroke, she also excelled in the other two breaststroke events at Nationals. She was sixth in the 50 and eighth in the 200.
During her sophomore season, Hannis swam the relay leg in both of Tennessee's NCAA title-winning medley relay teams. She also set the school records in both the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events and took ninth in both races at NCAAs.
Craig, a two-time SEC gold medalist in the 100-yard breaststroke, was named to the USA Swimming team in the 100-meter breaststroke by clocking a time of 1:00.07.
Craig finished his career in 2011 but continues to train at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center as part of Tennessee Aquatics.
