The Lady Vol harriers improved their showing at the NCAA South Regional meet, posting a top-10 result in a loaded field after finishing 12th at the SEC Championship.

Freshman Alexis Panisse led the Big Orange in five of six races and earned SEC All-Freshman Team honors for placing in the top seven of all freshmen at the conference meet in Nashville.

The Lady Vols improved their showings at both the SEC Championship and NCAA South Regional meets, finishing seventh and 13th, respectively, as they hosted the league meet for the first time since 1998.

Senior Brittany Sheffey earned All-SEC and All-South Region accolades for the third time in her career and qualified for the NCAA Championships, placing 44th out of 254 runners in her first trip to that meet.

Their ranks depleted by graduation and injury, J.J. Clark’s Lady Vols uncharacteristically struggled to 12th place in the SEC and to 18th at the NCAA South Regional.

With veterans Brittany Sheffey and Chanelle Price sidelined by injury, true freshman Amber Zimmerman stepped up and paced the Lady Vols in five of their six races.

The Lady Vols carded their eighth-straight top-three SEC finish, placing second, and logged a third-place outcome at the NCAA South Regional with Jackie Areson placing third at each.

UT had three representatives on both the All-SEC and All-South Region squad, and seniors Areson and Katie Van Horn each participated in the NCAA Championship meet.

The Tennessee women raced to third-place results at the SEC and NCAA South Regional meets and carded a 28th-place performance at the NCAA Championships.

Sarah Bowman and Katie Flaute were All-SEC honorees and were joined on the All-South squad by Katie Van Horn and Jackie Areson.

The Big Orange women won their third-straight SEC title and fourth-consecutive NCAA South Region crown and went on to place 28th at the NCAA meet.

Runner-up Felicia Guliford led four Lady Vols on the All-SEC squad, was one of four on the all-region team and paced UT at NCAAs with a finish of 58th.

The Lady Vols once again swept SEC and NCAA South Region titles and produced their best NCAA finish of the Clark era, tallying a 21st-place showing.

Felicia Guliford was the best of three All-SEC performers and was UT’s top NCAA finisher, while Brooke Novak headed up a five-member all-region brigade at the NCAA South meet.

Tennessee posted its first women’s sweep of conference and regional cross country titles since 1983 and had its best finish at the NCAA Championships (24th) since 1990.

Brooke Novak was a top-five individual finisher at both the SEC and NCAA South Regional and led the Big Orange at nationals with a 58th-place effort.

J.J. Clark’s first season saw UT win the NCAA South Regional for the first time since 1983, place third at SECs and tie for 28th at the NCAA meet.

Senior Sharon Dickie spearheaded the Lady Vols attack, earning the fourth All-SEC and All-South Region honors of her career and competing in her fourth NCAA Championship race.
