- Was the runner-up at the SEC Championship meet, earning a new freshman record (18-2.5), All-SEC Second Team honors, SEC All-Freshman Team honors, and the title SEC Freshman Field Athlete of the Year
- Won the Samford Invitational and set a new freshman record with a height of 18-1
- Matched the UT freshman record at the Armory Invitational, where he topped 18-0.5 to win the Championship division
- Won the pole vault at the Texas A&M Mondo Challenge, earning a meet record with a height of 17-4.25
- Placed second at the Virginia Tech Invitational, vaulting over the bar at a height of 17-1.50
- Won his first meet as a Vol, placing first and earning a new pole vault personal record of 17-8.50 at the Kentucky Invitational
Outdoors
- Won the Penn Relays Championship pole vault with a height of 18-0.50, leading a 1-2-3 finish for the Vols
- Finished third at the Vanderbilt Invitational, crossing the bar at 16-7.25
- Won the Sea Ray Relays invitational division of the pole vault with a height of 18-1.50
- Finished second with a height of 17-8.50 at the Florida Relays
- Earned a new outdoor personal best and came in fourth place at the Texas Relays with a height of 18-4.75...This mark currently ranks fourth in the country this season
- Opened his first outdoor season as a Vol at the MSU Conference Challenge, finishing tied for seventh with a height of 15-5
